Collating a Proof
This is to show how to put together a proof. There are a few steps that require you to go to other procedures, they should be linked.

Step 1 of 12

Open up the proof template.

This should be set up as an Illustrator action

Step 2 of 12

Copy your already designed artwork design to the proof template by:

Select All (Control + A)

Group (Control + G)

Copy (Control + C) and Paste (Control + V) on Proof Template

Align the artwork to the blank space on the proof template.

Copy the description from the Internal Front comments and paste it over the placeholder description on the proof template.

Fill out the proof details.

Date Prepared:

Add the green tick to proof if the design is high-res and okay to print.

If the design is Low-Res, skip this step and proceed to step 7

Select the tick to the left of the artboard.

Select the guide below the proof details.

Centre align the tick to the guide.

Add the Artwork Required tag and blurb to the proof if the artwork is low-res.

Select the Artwork Required tag and blurb on the left of the artboard.

Select the guide below the proof details.

Right-align the tag to the guide.

Fill out a blurb explaining what is low-res.

Copy the Front Message into the field provided on the right of the artboard.

Save the proof by:

File > Save As (Control + Shift + S)

Open the customer artwork folder (Sitemax - Customers > "Customer Folder" > Artwork)

Name as "Customer Name" "Artwork Code"

Set Save As Type To PDF

Save, if doing a single proof proceed to Step 10

If creating multiple proofs, hit Save PDF and proceed to Step 11 skipping step 10
