
General Notes
Read through the fitting instructions before installation of the accessory. Install the accessory following the fitting instructions. Failure to do so may cause damage to the vehicle or the accessory.
Ensure all recyclable discarded vehicle accessory components and packaging are recycled following local recycling regulations.
It is always recommended that this accessory is fitted by a qualified Kia Technician.
Safely store and protect any removed vehicle components.
Ensure all bare metal surfaces are protected using automotive bare metal primer and touch-up paint, or suitable automotive rust inhibitor.
Remove all metal swarf and dust from all vehicle surfaces if surface is used for accessory installation.

Check that all work practices comply with safety standards.
Please wear appropriate clothing and use safety equipment.
Step 1
IMPORTANT
Always refer to the vehicle’s Workshop Manual when removing vehicle components.
Fully disassemble Sports Bar (if fitted to the vehicle) and retain all the components.
Note: Refer to Sports Bar fitting instruction SB0054.

Step 2
Replace original sports bar center tube with new supplied Centre Tube (1). Note: Supplied Center Tube (1) has notch marked on the edge.
Position the Center Tube (1) on a soft surface or mat with the warning label facing towards you as shown. Install the front tube FL (B) and the front tube FR (A) into the forward half of the Center Tube (1).
Apply Threadlock to retained M8 screws (C) and loosely secure the front tubes as shown.
Note: Do not tighten screws fully.
Note: Refer to the stamped letter on the tubes end:
FL – Front Left &
FR – Front Right.

Step 3
Install the rear tube RL (E) and the rear tube RR (D) into the rear half of the Center Tube (1).
Apply Threadlock to retained M8 screws (C) and loosely secure tube as shown.
Note: Do not tighten screws fully.
Note: Refer to the stamped letter on the tubes end:
RLL– Rear Left & RRL – Rear Right.

Step 4
Push all four retained rubber foot cups (A) onto the corresponding foot of the sports bar by aligning the foot cup to the tube as shown.
Note: Refer to the stamped letter on each of the foot cup:
FL – Front Left & FR – Front Right
RL – Rear Left & RR – Rear Right
Foot cups have pins (B) on top side to use as a locator. Pin must fit inside sports bar inner plate hole.
Step 5
Using two people, carefully lift the Sports Bar and place it on a flat surface to make sure the legs are level. Adjust tubes if required by loosening the eight screws (A).
Note: The screw should be finger tightened only.

Step 6
Install the Front Adapter Plate FR (3) and secure with the two M8x20 Hex Head Screws (9) and two Small M8 Washers (7).
Repeat for LHS.
Note: Do not tighten screws fully.

Install the Rear Adapter Plate RR (5) and secure with the two M8x30 Hex Head Screws (10) and Small M8 Washers (7).
Align the Rear Adapter Plate RR (5) forwards as much as possible.
Repeat for LHS.
Note: Do not tighten screws fully.

Step 8
Using two people, carefully lift the sports bar and trial fit on top of roller cover, make sure the legs are level and adjust if required to align slots in all four Adapter Plates (2,3,4.5) to accessory channel.
Torque screws (9) to 20Nm.
Repeat for LHS.

Remove the Sports Bar from the roller cover and place upside down on a soft mat.
Torque screws (9) to 20Nm.

Slide two T-Nuts (6) into the RHS and LHS T-channel of the side rails as shown. Ensure they align with the holes in the Front Adapter Plates (2,3) and Rear Adapter Plates (4,5) on the feet of the sports bar.
Note: Use Tape Measure for positioning

Step 11
Place the sports bar on the roller cover forward so that the front feet are aligned
There should be a similar gap in front of the rear corner, see detail.
Reposition the T-Nuts (6) in the T-channel to align with the holes in all four Adapter Plates.
Secure the sports bar in place with four M8x20 Hex Head Screws (9) and four Large M8 Washers (8).
The T-Nut (6) will twist and self lock during the screw fitment.
Torque screws (9) to 20Nm.

Place the joiner upper (A) in place so as to correctly space the tubes within the centre tube.
Torque the four M8 screws x 4 (C) to 20Nm.
Repeat for LHS.
Note: Ensure the tubes are spaced so that the front tube is not touching the rear tube.

Step 13
With the joiner upper (A) in place install joiner lower (B) over the bar and fasten together using the two M5x85 pan head screws (C).
Tighten to 1Nm.
Do not over tighten.
Repeat for LHS

Step 14
Refit the retained covers (A).
Place the hook above the tab on the sports bar, then press downwards so as the hook goes behind the tab.
Note: Plastic tabs engage from the top onto the tabs in the tube.
