The aim in the colostrum mob is to get cows eating as much as possible as quickly as possible!
Always over Allocate
Move 6 times a day (small strips)
Feed good quality silage for fibre source (2-3kg)
Only milk OAD
This will result in cows peaking higher and having higher conception rates.
After day 5 or 6 milking in colostrum mob cows will move to the milkers.
This will require 4 reports to be generated every evening so that drafts can happen automatically the following morning.
You only need to generate these reports once as they will update daily so all you'll need to do is share the CSV files every evening with your shed system.

Every evening these two reports need run and then CSV files exported and then sent to your shed operating system.
This will draft healthy cows into the milkers, struggling cows into a OAD mob and leave the rest of the cows in the colostrum mob.
Dealing with cows into the OAD milker mob.
Just treat these cows with TLC until they are day 8 calved (meaning we will do nothing to them for another 3 days) unless you see clinical signs of disease.
This gives them time to hopefully recover on their own and means less cows to examine.
Move them multiple times a day and still provide access to lots of silage or quality hay.
Create the following two reports for this mob.

Every evening these two reports need run and then CSV files exported and then sent to your shed operating system.
This will draft cows that have recovered into the TAD milkers and those struggling at day 8 to examine.
Take temperature and if above 39.5 put on tetramax plus loxicom.
Check for mastitis and treat with antibiotics and Loxicom.
Metricheck and if metritis present treat with metricure.
Some cows will be completely clean with clear mucus. Don’t treat.
Some will be mainly bloody with some mucus. Don’t treat.
Some with be blood that is hot and smells putrid. THESE NEED TREATMENT.
You will generally not see pus like you do with metri checking at 3 - 4 weeks.
Do a rectal exam and see if faeces are normal.
If you find nothing and rumination rate is poor consider treating with loxicom and coforta.
Leave cows in OAD mob until recovered.
