Your safety is critical. DON’T take your eye off the cow during the whole process.

3
Step 3 of 20

Dry cow and sealants can be warmed up to make application easy. The best way to do this is to leave it in a vehicle with the heater running or put in hot water like this.

4
Step 4 of 20

DON'T place the dry cow directly in the water.

5

Do one teat at a time. Once you grab a tit don't let go until you have finished applying the dry cow and teatseal if you are using both.

9
Step 9 of 20

Wipe by dragging a clean part of the wipe across the teat end like this.

10
Step 10 of 20

DON’T scrub back and forwards like this it just smears and doesn’t clean.

11
Step 11 of 20

If you can’t see the teat opening ( especially on black teats) strip a bit of milk out so you can see where it is.

12
Step 12 of 20

Only partially insert the tube and disperse the dry cow. Before removing the tube squeeze the teat a couple of times to dispense the dry cow into the udder and empty the teat canal of milk if using sealant.

13
Step 13 of 20

DRY COW ENDS UP IN THE UDDER not in the teat canal.

14
Step 14 of 20

If you are using teatseal at the same time don’t let go of the teat and pinch it tight at the top like this.

If you are using teatseal at the same time don’t let go of the teat and pinch it tight at the top like this.

15
Step 15 of 20

TEATSEAL STAYS IN THE TEAT CANAL So keep pinching tightly at the top of the canal throughout applying teatseal.

16
Step 16 of 20

If using Cepralock ( which is great as the short tip stops you inserting too far ) flip the top off towards you like this. There’s also no air in the tube.

17
Step 17 of 20

Partially insert the tube and dispense all the contents into the teat canal below you fingers ( the teat blows up ).

18
Step 18 of 20

Now strip down until the seal appears at the test end like this.
