Okay, so this video is to show you some of the updates we've made to Salesforce to support the new product offerings across DAC and IoT.
Okay, so this video is to show you some of the updates we've made to Salesforce to support the new product offerings across DAC and IoT.
1
Step 1 of 53Okay, so this video is to show you some of the updates we've made to Salesforce to support the new product offerings across DAC and IoT.
2
Step 2 of 53As you can see, I'm in Salesforce right now. I'm looking at all the opportunities and I'm going to start by creating a new opportunity.
3
Step 3 of 53I'll click the new button here. The first thing you'll notice is that now you are asked to select from one of four opportunity types.
4
Step 4 of 53Previously, or currently, it's only two. Now it is four and it reflects the four different product lines that we are offering.
5
Step 5 of 53So at the top and by default, it will always select mobility. But then underneath you have DAC/networks, any obviously DAC related opportunities, IoT and then UC.
6
Step 6 of 53Importantly, please make sure you only have each opportunity only contains products relating to the opportunity type that you select on the screen.
7
Step 7 of 53We cannot mix and match products from different product types on the same opportunity.
8
Step 8 of 53Okay, I'm going to select DAC and use that as an example and I'll click next.
9
Step 9 of 53Like normal, you're going to be asked to enter some basic information about this opportunity.
10
Step 10 of 53We have taken advantage of the work to just tidy up the screen.
11
Step 11 of 53So you'll notice the required fields are all at the top here.
12
Step 12 of 53So you don't need to scroll down and find the specific fields anymore. So I'm just going to put an example in here.
13
Step 13 of 53So opportunity name, I'll say BHPS Telstra SD-WAN link.
14
Step 14 of 53A closed date just like normal.
15
Step 15 of 53The account, so again, just like normal.
16
Step 16 of 53The type again, nothing has changed here. So continue to use these as you normally would.
17
Step 17 of 53The stages remain the same. So again, select what is most appropriate.
18
Step 18 of 53Nothing has changed with broadcast status. So we'll say pipeline and likewise with lead source.
19
Step 19 of 53Where we have made a change is with the channel field. So previously there was quite a number of different options here.
20
Step 20 of 53We've simplified this right down so that you only have to select from either direct or Telstra.
21
Step 21 of 53In this case, we'll select Telstra. But if it wasn't Telstra, then it will be direct.
22
Step 22 of 53Okay, I've populated all the required fields so I can hit save.
23
Step 23 of 53Which point our opportunity has been created.
24
Step 24 of 53As you can see, the look and feel is all the same. So really the only changes so far is the additional opportunity types that you must select from and the change to the channel field.
25
Step 25 of 53When it comes to adding products to your opportunity, like always, you go over here to the products component, choose a price book.
26
Step 26 of 53Now by default, it's like the deck here. Now much like the opportunity type, whereas historically we've only had two price books that you would use, the mobility price book and the UC/DAQ price book, we now have four price books.
27
Step 27 of 53Again, associated with each of the product categories that we have defined.
28
Step 28 of 53So a mobility price book, a UC price book, a DAQ price book and an IoT price book.
29
Step 29 of 53So just to quickly show you, IoT, UC and we want to use, because we're doing a DAQ opportunity, I'm going to select the DAQ price book.
30
Step 30 of 53We'll hit save. And then again, just like you would currently, you can select edit all, at which point you then come into your product basket where you can select from the list of products.
31
Step 31 of 53Now with the UC, DAQ and IoT price books, they all have the same set of products.
32
Step 32 of 53We've effectively copied what originally was a UC and DAQ price book and created three flavors, three versions I should say, all with the exact same product.
33
Step 33 of 53So nothing really changes here. How you would create a DAQ opportunity last month will remain the same this month as far as how you would select and edit the product.
34
Step 34 of 53So I'll select Telstra Complex Data Coms.
35
Step 35 of 53Let's say it's worth $5,000. There's one.
36
Step 36 of 53So it's a 24 month term. It's 100% margin, 100% incremental business to us.
37
Step 37 of 53And we'll say Telstra SD-WAN link.
38
Step 38 of 53Scrolling across for the invoicing method. Now we have left all of these in place.
39
Step 39 of 53Down the track, we will tidy these up so that you only see what is relevant to the particular price book and type of opportunity you're working on, but that requires a bit more work.
40
Step 40 of 53So for now we've left these as is. So again, just select as per you do today, Telstra Commissions, and I'll hit save.
41
Step 41 of 53Now I'll add that product to the opportunity, which now has a value of $5,000.
42
Step 42 of 53The other thing that we have done as part of this work is we've made a couple of changes to the account record in how you can capture information relevant to the account, specific to our voice vendor models.
43
Step 43 of 53So if I come here, give me the option to edit.
44
Step 44 of 53Bear with me. I'm not going to edit this.
45
Step 45 of 53Okay we'll end the demo there. We'll come back and we'll show those other fields at another time.
46
Step 46 of 53Sorry. Actually, I've got BHP open in another tab.
47
Step 47 of 53That's probably why. Yep, here we go. Okay, so I'm in the BHP account name. I've already clicked edit.
48
Step 48 of 53So as you can see, the fields are editable. And looking and scrolling down, we've got the voice vendor model pick list.
49
Step 49 of 53So we've just added a range of additional options now, some of the more common cloud options like 8x8, GoToConnect, as well as some of the older ones that we've dealt with for quite a while.
50
Step 50 of 53And then scrolling further down under the... Yes, here we go.
51
Step 51 of 53Under the data section, you'll notice we've just updated the label slightly where it used to say WAN.
52
Step 52 of 53We've now called it WAN/SD-WAN-TECH and we've just updated the available options, again reflecting the type of products that we see out there in the market.
53
Step 53 of 53And that's everything. So we will convert this into a training guide and that will hopefully help you adjust to some of these changes.
