Setup

Requirements

  • 1 person on Forklift

  • 2 people on Floor (Minimum)

    • Recommended 4 people on Floor

  • Large Open Area to Work

Equipment

  • Stage Frames (Assembled)

  • Stage Panels

  • Forklift

PPE

  • Gloves

  • Steel Cap Boots

  • High Visibility Vest

Step 2 of 7

Place Stage Panel Stillage

Using a forklift, grab a stage panel stillage and place it in an open area so their is a space in front of the long edge of the panels.

Step 3 of 7

Adjust Corner Plates

Adjust the plates on each corner of the frame so that the middle stud is facing toward the centre of the frame.

Pick Up the Stage Panel

  • Line up forklift with centre stack of stage panels

  • Spread tynes as wide as possible

  • TWO people lift panel up on one end

  • Raise tynes

  • Drive forward

  • Lower panel onto tynes

  • Drive forklift back

  • Lower tynes

Note: Drive forklift far enough back that a stage frame will fit between the forklift and the stack of stage panels

Position Stage Frame

Two people roll a stage frame between the forklift and the stack of stage panels

Step 6 of 7

Position the Stage Panel

(Forklift Driver) Raise the stage panel above the frame.

(Floor Personnel) Line up the frame with the panel. Signal to the forklift driver when to lower.

(Forklift Driver) Lower stage panel.

Note: Stage panel may not be sitting flush at the end of this step, see next step

Caution: there is a major risk of pinching fingers between stage panel and corner plates. Keep hands clear.

Adjust Corner Plates

Adjust corner plates so the stage panel sits flush.

One person lift the stage panel.

One person rotate the corner plate until it is lined up correctly.

Caution: there is a major risk of pinching fingers between stage panel and corner plate. Keep fingers clear of stage panel corners.
