Important:

• Bottle bins need to be emptied every day

• Obtain guidance and training from a trained staff member who knows how to operate the bottle cycle before commencing.

• Before switching the machine on, carefully inspect the power cable for any damage or exposed wires, if the cable is not intact, alert your manager immediately as there is a risk of electrocution.

• Exercise extra caution in the GPR mat washing area as the floor may be wet and slippery, take necessary precautions to prevent slips and falls.

• If glass bottles are broken, do not put them through the bottle crusher, with gloves, carefully collect the broken bottle and place in the designated blue bin.

• No lids from sparkling water/ soft drinks are to be put through the bottle crusher

• Only 750ml wine bottles/ sparkling and soft drink bottles are to be put through the bottle crusher (This means no Magnums, ceramic cups or broken wine glasses).

• When the blue bin is full, it may weigh up to 60kg, always use the handles provided to move the bin to the designated area.

• Click the bin handle to wheelie bin to avoid back related injuries, the bin handle must be clicked on the inside of wheelie bin handle.

• Both “hooks” at bottom of handle must be secured under wheelie bin floor, clamp the top of the handle to secure to bin.

• Always pull bin behind you when removing full bin.

Removal of glass bottle bins from bar areas:

• Grab a trolley from the cage to help take the bins outside.

• Remove bin from bar area once full, do not overfill.

• Ensure the trolley is locked in place before placing the full glass bins on the trolley.

• Lift the bin out of the pullout draw ensuring the correct manual handling lifting technique is used.

• If the bin is too heavy to lift, ask another staff member for assistance (If you have a pre-existing injury, do not do this task).

• Take bottles outside to bottle crusher.

Startup of bottle crusher

• Ensure the machine is plugged into a power supply and that the power button on the back of the machine is turned on

• Press the 'START' button on the front display, the green light on the front display will light up, the display will read 'READY' and the top flaps will be unlocked, this means the machine is operational

Crushing of bottles

• Ensure that the bottles to be crushed are empty then feed bottles with a gentle push into the flaps at the top of the BottleCycler, one at a time This can be done as quickly as you like. Green light will flash while machine is crushing.

Replacing full bin

• Once bin is full, the front display will read “BIN FULL” and the machine will stop.

• Turn main switch to OFF position.

• Open metal doors, safely pull bin out, attach handles and move bin to waste area next to shipping container

• Collect another small blue bin and place in cabinet, close doors and press START to restart machine.

Troubleshooting

• If the display is blank, check that the power cord is plugged in and the main power switch is on.

• If "NO BIN" appears, ensure the bin is correctly installed.

• If "LID OPEN" appears, close the top lid securely.

• If "DOOR OPEN" appears, make sure both bin doors and the door latch are fully closed.

• If "CLEARING" or "OVERLOAD" appears, the machine will automatically attempt to clear a blockage. If the blockage remains, notify an authorised manager or supervisor. Do not use tools to remove the obstruction; manufacturer maintenance will be required.

• Restart the machine after opening a bin door, opening the top lid, or turning the machine off and on
