

Remove any central locking wiring by unplugging from the door and cutting the cable ties
Drill out all welds with a 6.5mm drill bit.
(this will need to be done from the inside if the hinge is still attached)
Lightly grind the hinge mounting surface to ensure there is a flat edge for the new hinge to sit on.

If there is a cable tray on the inside carefully grind off welds marked in red. And set the tray aside. This will make it easier to access for welding, if your welder can reach you won’t have to remove it.

Using a die grinder or Dremel tool, remove some of the powder coating around the hole on the inside of the canopy ready for welding.

For the end holes use a flattened drill bit or die grinder to remove the powder coating.
Use clamps, clamp the body hinge to the body in the direction on the video.
Use the previous powder coating marks to line this up.
Confirm the correct extrusion is used. This should look like the one shown in the video.
Ensure there is no gap under the top lip. Make sure it is flushed with the body

Weld the hinge through the holes. Ensure the weld is covering the holes. If there is a gap around the welds, the hinge will leak.

Ensure the welds do not penetrate into this groove of the hinge.
If if the welds to penetrate into the hinge groove, use a grinding disc to flatten this.
Once the welds have cooled, give these a light spray with matt black spray paint.
Re-install the cable cover. This may require welding and repainting also.
Lubricate the hinge on the canopy body.
Taking care not to damage any of the doors, slide the door onto the canopy from the end.
Lurbricate the hinge insert
Then insert into the door hinge, making sure it is the correct way like in the video. Ensure the door is lifted high so the hinge can be inserted without damaging the vehicle.

Re-install the hinge end tabs
Re-attach the gas struts and ensure the door opening and closing correctly.
Adjust the latches as required.
