Setup

Download the zip file, containing the Autoloader app, from the EGR portal (file name

“Autoloader-App-Kia.zip” and then extract all from the downloaded file.

When accessing the application file in the folder (“Autoloader-App.exe”), the OS may block the app from running, which will need a manual override to alleviate. Refer to the above video for direction on how this can be done on device using Windows OS.

A USB–C to USB-A cable (e.g., a mobile phone charging cable*) will be required to connect the Autoloader to a PC.

*Autoloader has a USB-C port; the same as all Android phones, and iPhones from the iPhone 15 series onwards

Open the Autoloader App by double clicking on the application file “Autoloader-App.exe” located in the unzipped “Autoloader-App-Kia” folder.

Note: This may not be required if Autoloader is updated to latest level.

Connect the Autoloader to a PC using a USB–C to USB-A cable.

The Autoloader app will detect the device by registering the COM port number (refresh button may need to be clicked if no port is showing).

Once a COM port is selected, the app can be connected to the device by clicking the connect button.

Once connected the app will automatically update the Autoloader (as per message box). The update will take 30-50 seconds to complete.

During this time DO NOT DISCONNECT the Autoloader. Once completed, a message box will pop up advising that update is complete. The Autoloader will the need to be disconnected.

Connect the Autoloader to a PC using a USB–C to USB-A cable. The Autoloader app will detect the device by registering the COM port number (refresh button may need to be clicked if no port is showing).

When a COM port is selected, the app can be connected to the device by clicking the “Connect” button.

Once connected, select either Roller Cover or Canopy firmware by clicking the corresponding button.

A message box will display once the firmware has successfully loaded. The device can then be disconnected by clicking the “Disconnect” button before unplugging the cable.

Green LED Off Red LED On: Autoloader requires an update

Green LED On Red LED On: No firmware loaded/firmware in the process of being loaded

Green LED On Red LED Off: Autoloader has firmware loaded onto it

Green LED Off Red LED Off: No power being supplied to Autoloader
