<li>4 x Lifting Straps</li>

Tools Required

  • Torx: T20
  • Pry tool (to remove existing wiring harness')
  • Wire cutters
  • Sockets: 8mm, 13mm, 15mm, 18mm

<p>Remove license plate (if one is fitted)

Open fuel door, and unscrew cap

Open tailgate

<p>T20 Torx Bit. Remove plastic tailgate cover.</p>

<p>T20 Torx bit. Remove the additional screws to remove the steel tailgate panel.</p>

Peel off plastic tailgate Cover and put it into the tub

Unplug harness, this one is for the light in the tailgate

Unplug Tailgate locking actuator

Pop reversing camera out

Remove wiring from tailgate using a pry tool

Pop clip bottom of tailgate

Call Wiring harness out of the tailgate and then push it through the hole in the tub

Close tailgate

On the passenger side, unplug the tail light plug

Use a pry to to remove the tail light harness from the tub

On the passenger side, unplug the smaller plug, this is for the lights which are up inside of the tub itself

On the passenger side, unplug the larger plug. This is for the 12 V auxiliary socket, which is usually inside the tub

On the driver-side unplug, the tower light plug

Use a pry to tool remove the taillight harness from the tub

On the driver-side unplug, the small plug, which is for the lights which are inside of the tub

Remove bumper bolts 18mm for outer bolts (total of 2)

Remove bumper bolts . 13mm, 2 on each side (total of 4)

<p>Unplug the rear bumper harness it is located on the passenger side on the inside of the towbar</p>

Lift off bumper

<p>Lay bumper Face down on foam so it does not get scratched</p>

Use a prior to to pop out the clips on the front half of the passenger side inner guard

<p>Use a sharp knife to cut the plastic inner guard around the rivets</p>

Peel the inner guard back halfway. It is not necessary to pull it all the way off.

Reach up and unplug the fuel door release harness

If vehicle is a Ford Wildtrak, it will also have an electric electric tub cover. Trim drivers side inner guard plastic to reveal the harness

TIP: If Wildtrak, use 2 bars at 1500mm to lift

Lift off. Stop periodically to check that no Wiring is attached and that everything is clear.

Remove front mount locator

If Wildtrak, tidy up this, Wiring by zip tying it to the chassis crossmember, it is easier to do it now than later
