Open the proof in Adobe Illustrator

Create a New Artboard at 1170 x 2500mm

Maximum Artboard Size For Numbered Stickers Is 1170mm wide x 3000mm high or a maximum total of 500 stickers

Copy the sticker design to the new artboard

Resize the sticker to the required size

Open the Illustrator document called "Induction 1 Page"

This should be set up as an action

Copy and Paste the cut template on the new artboard

Using the align tools, align the cut template to the Top Left of the artboard

Align the sitcker design to the centre of the cut template

If it is full colour sticker add our standard bleed of 1mm to the design.

The bleed should be outside the pink partial cut line

Group the design and the cut template

Copy out multiple of the sticker group.

(Short cut keys are Shift + Alt + Left Arrow)

16 works well for standard 50mm induction stickers

Space out the stickers with a 10mm gap between the stickers.

Using Horizontal Distribution, set the distribution spacing to 10mm and align from the first stickers.

Group the single row

Duplicate out the single row. Create enough to exceed the required quantity.

To work out the number of rows needed

Divide the number of stickers required by the number of stickers in the top row.

In this case, 200/16=12.5

So 13 rows will be needed

(Shift + Alt + Down Arrow)

Space out the rows with a 10mm gap between the row.

Using Vertical Distribution, set the distribution spacing to 10mm, and align from the first row.

Select all the Area Type Objects.

It is essential to ensure there is only 1 Area Type Object per sticker before doing this step.

Steps to do this - Select > Object > Area Type Objects.

Create Threaded Text using the already selected Area Type Objects

Open a blank excel document

In Excel drag out the required sequence of numbers.

In this case, 1101 - 1300 is required.

Make sure when starting at lower numbers the number is four digits long. This is done by adding Zero's in front of the digit e.g. 0001

Copy and paste the sequence into the rows of stickers in Illustrator.

Steps are:

Highlight and Copy populated cells in Excel

Open Illustrator

Using the text tool enter into the first Area Type Object of the threaded text

Select all (Control + A)

Paste (Control + V)

Remove Excess Blank Individual Stickers

Steps Are:

Break the threaded text link after the last number sticker

Ungroup

Select all blank stickers

Hit Delete

Fit the artboard to the artwork

Steps are:

Select all artwork on the artboard (Control + Alt + A)

Object > Artboards > Fit To Selected Art

Save the print file.

Steps are:

File > Save As (Contol + Shift + S)

Open the production artwork folder (SIT01NAS01 > Production > Artwork)

Find Customer Folder

Name as "Artwork Code" Customer Name" "Start-End Sequence"

Set Save As Type To PDF

Save

Then save again in Illustrator
