<p>The fence tester will show you 2 readings.
KW ( or kilowatts ) tells you how much <strong>power</strong> is in the fence.
A ( or amps ) show up when there is a <strong>short or fault</strong>.
The tester will also point to the direction of the short.</p>

<p>Walk in the direction of the short ( arrow )  and inspect the fence for stray wires or branches etc.</p>

<p>Sometimes an insulator will have come off or be broken and the electric wire is touching a steel post.</p>

Often you need to turn the isolator off to the fence to fix it.
