MASTITIS TREATMENTS

For treatment of mastitis ONLY. This is a ONCE A DAY TREATMENT.
DOSE
Clean teat end with a teat wipe. Insert one tube daily in effected quarter for a maximum of 3 treatments.
WITH HOLD
Withholding periods. Milk 7 days on twice a day milking. Alternative milking intervals will need a variance in withhold. Meat 30 days. Don’t feed milk to sale calves.

For treatment of environmental mastitis primarily. Go to treatment for multiple quarters. Go to treatment for heifer mastitis at calving.
DOSE
Mix one vial (5g) and treat once daily in the muscle. Repeat daily for 3 - 5 days stopping at a maximum of 5.

DOSE
Dose rate. 1 ml per 50kg or 10 ml per 500kg cow. Treat for 3-5 days. ONLY TO BE ADMINISTERED IN THE MUSCLE

OTHER INJECTABLE ANTIBIOTICS

USE
Tetracycline injectable antibiotic Use for retained foetal membranes with temperature above 39.5. Footrot after foreign meterial (stones) have been removed. And if a cow has an elevated temperature in general.
DOSE RATE
Dose rate. 2ml per 50kg daily for 3-5 days ( 20ml per 500kg cow ). If injecting more than 20ml use two sites. Administer in vein or muscle.
WITH HOLD
Withholding periods. Milk 2.5 days (5milkings). Meat 11 days. Do not feed milk to sale calves.

Penicillin injectable antibiotic. To treat footrot after foreign material (stones) have been removed. And for general wounds.
DOSE
Dose rate. 2ml per 50kg (20ml per 500kg cow). Only administer in muscle.
WITH HOLD
Withholding periods. Milk 3 days based on twice a day milking. Meat 5 days. Do not feed milk to sale calves.

Trimethoprim sulphur antibiotic. To treat calf scours when bacteria are present. Especially for salmonella in both cows and calves. If pneumonia is present as well combine with tetramax.
DOSE
Dose rate. 5ml per 100kg ( 25ml per 500kg cow ). Treat for 3-5 days. Only to be administered in the muscle.
WITH HOLD
Withholding periods. Milk 3 days based on twice a day milking. Meat 28 days. Do not feed milk to sale calves.

ONLY for treatment of footrot in dairy cows.
DOSE
10 ml per 500kg cow. Treat for 3-5 days. ONLY FOR ADMINISTRATION IN THE MUSCLE.

Milk nil withhold. Meat 1 days. Don’t feed milk to sale calves.

For treatment of conditions where daily treatment isn’t practical. EG footrot in bulls or heifers on adgistment. For use in outbreaks of pinkeye in young stock.
DOSE
Dose rate. 1 ml per 10-15kg or 40 ml per 500kg cow. If giving more than 20 ml you must inject in different sites. Repeat in 3 days if required. Only inject in the muscle.
WITH HOLD

Dose rate. 0.5-1 ml per 20kg or 20 ml per 500kg cow. Treat for 3-5 days with a maximum of 5. ONLY TO BE ADMINISTERED IN THE VEIN OR MUSCLE

REPRO DRUGS

Dry cow therapy only. To be used at dry off to aid in curing existing cases of sub clinical mastitis and prevention during the dry period.
DOSE
Clean teat end with a teat wipe. Insert one tube per quarter. Ensure it ends up in the udder not the teat canal.
WITH HOLD
Milk must be with held for a minimum 35 days post treatment plus another 8 milkings post calving irrespective if it is beyond 35 days.
Meat with hold is 28 days.

PAIN RELIEF / ANTI INFLAMITORIES

Loxicom is a long acting non steroidal anti inflammatory. For pain relief and anti inflammatory use. Particularly paralysis and difficult calvings. Improves treatment outcomes and in calf rates with mastitis cases.
DOSE
Dose rate. 2.5ml per 100kg ( 12-13ml per 500kg cow). This is a ONCE ONLY TREATMENT. Administer in vein or UNDER SKIN ONLY.
WITH HOLD
Withholding periods. Milk 4 days on twice a day milking. Meat 12 days. Don’t feed milk to sale calves.
