Begin by moving the front passengers seat forward. Lift the back seat to reveal the 12v battery and disconnect. Ensure that you cover the negative terminal with something.

Remove the trim on the bottom of the rear passengers door then remove the trim in between the front and back seat on the passengers side.

The passengers side of the ute should now look like this.

Unplug the loom on the b pillar to the door and take our central locking pickup loom and feed it down and towards the passengers front door like so.

Plug our harness between the factory harness. Feed all the excess down and behind the panel. Cable tie to keep secure.

Make sure the loom is out of the way of the seat belt. Place the door trims and rubber seals back on.

In the front passengers seat, remove the shown trim. Pull the flooring back and remove the rubber plug on the floor.

Take your loom and feed it down into the engine bay like so. Take note of where the loom is being fed. Feed it down until your get to your positive and negative cable lugs and the fuse housings.

Unbolt the negative terminal and attach the negative cable lug from the loom and fasten.

Unbolt the positive terminal and attach the positive cable lug from the loom and fasten.

Your engine bay should be starting to look like this. Plug in the add a fuse like so with a 5 amp fuse.

Take note of where the add a fuse should go. Remove the yellow 20 amp fuse from fuse box and place it in the empty add a fuse next to the 5 amp fuse.

Cut away part of the fuse box and the lid to make room for wire. Put the fuse lid back on.

Remove the bash plate from beneath the vehicle.

Take the loom from the engine bay and pull it down towards you. Feed over the chassis towards the passenger's front side.

Feed the loom back over the chassis towards the rear of the vehicle like so.

See the hole in the floor of the vehicle and feed the central locking pick up through that hole.

Feed the rest of the loom back over the chassis like so.

Cable tie the loom to one of the brake lines. Ensure that you are cable tying to only one of the lines other wise this will cause the lines to rub and wear. Keep feeding the loom towards the rear of the ute, following along the chassis.

Cable tie along the length of the brake lines till you reach about the rear tyre.

Take note of where the loom is fed along the length of the vehicle.

Make sure the loom is securely cable tied away from any hot or moving parts.

Bolt the bash plate back on to the vehicle.

Take the plug and plug the loom wires in to the corresponding number shown on the wire colour chart.

See the blanks plugged in to the plug.

Ensure that the correct colour wire is plugged in to the correct number. Place the green wedge into the plug.

Head back to the front passengers seat and start wrapping the loom in tape. Take the rubber plug and feed it along the loom with a small amount of silicone on it.

Push the plug on to the loom up until it reaches the floor of the vehicle. Push the plug down in to the floor to seal off that hole.

Remove the tape and take the lock and unlock wires and plug them in to male plug for the pick up loom. Push the yellow lock down to ensure the terminals can not come loose.

Take the remaining plug and plug it in to the loom. Match the colours together like so and plug together.

Plug the buzzer extension to the loom and then the buzzer. If you do not have a gator camera, tape the female spade terminals like so. If you do, go to the gator camera vehicle installation knowby.

Buzzers are not installed for hardlid installations

This is the beacon switch and harness. Disregard this if your build does not include beacon lights. If it does, please click the link below which will take you to the beacon switch installation knowby.

Feed the buzzer and loom up behind the fastened factory loom and put the flooring back down.

Stick the buzzer to the side of the footwell and cable tie the loom to the existing loom.

Push all of the trim back on to the vehicle. Make sure the rubber seal is in place and clean up any glue that may have come off the door seal.

Take the vehicle loom plug from underneath the vehicle and wrap electrical tape around the wires. Begin undoing the bolt at the bottom of the guard. Start unclipping the guard from the body. Remove the plugs that hold the wheel well cover to the vehicle.

Carefully remove the plugs and pull the inner guard back to reveal the canopy loom plug.

Place the orange rubber seal and wedge on to the canopy loom plug. Plug the vehicle loom and canopy loom together. Tuck back in behind the inner guard and cable tie.

Ensure the looms are cable tied securely and are not going to move. Place the inner guard cover back and place the plugs back in. Push the guard back in and fasten the bolt that you took out earlier at the bottom of the guard.

Fasten the negative terminal back on to the 12v battery.

To test the loom you have just installed, follow these steps. Turn the ignition on and test the lights by tapping the touch pad. The light should turn white, orange and then off. Pressing the pin switch in will turn the light off and the buzzing from the cab will stop. Please note that the 

BYD Shark door ajar buzzer has a 15 second power down delay. When the pin switch is not pressed, the opposite effect will occur. The switch for the worklights will be on the harness cover inside the canopy.

Press the beacon switch which is located above the hood lever to test that all beacons are working. Turn the vehicle off and lock the canopy. Check every latch to make sure they are locked. Unlock the canopy and again check each latch to make sure it is unlocked.

To test your redarc, turn the vehicle on and set your redarc on by pressing the shown switches. Plug something in to the redarc and test that the item you have plugged works. It is recommended that you turn both switches off when your redarc is not in use.
