Export BOM from Inventor and save the xls spreadsheet to your desktop. You only need this file temporarily for the next step.

Open the xls spreadsheet from the desktop. Then manually add the top level assembly name to the list. In this case this is called "CRPW-GEN2-A056". You will need to insert a new line for this.
Drag the column "Rev" to be next to "Part Number"

Select and copy these two columns from this spreadsheet

Open macro spreadsheet from this link: https://metalformdvke.sharepoint.com/:x:/s/Public/EbkTdtGMu1ZJt0rWieUnGDEBPtqfulT3Tfj9YfufOcOB9g?e=YivJ3Y
You will need to open it on desktop as above - the browser version can't run macros

next "enable content" at the top, to allow the macro to run in the next steps. Note: this will only ask this the first time you open the document.

Click "do not ask me again for network files" to tick box then click Yes
Click Clear data, and then paste your new data up the top
Click export list, and then copy your list
Delete previous data in the GAB spreadsheet, but leave the header rows and paste in your data. The sheet is located here, and you'll need to have the globalshop drive mapped.
\mf-globalshop\GLOBAL\PLUGINS\GAB\GAS\GAB_5181_DCCImport_Inventory.xls

1# . make sure to delete any old parts before adding your data. Document control doubles up if you run the same data twice.

Save the sheet! Otherwise it will just run the data it had before (seems simple. We've all done it :) )
Run the "Document Control Import [inventory tab]" process from Global shop. It is under the Administration header.
INVENTORY > ADMINISTRATION > DOCUMENT CONTROL IMPORT
And you're done!
