How to Assemble Undermount Toolboxes & Guards

How to assemble normal and landcruiser undermount toolboxes and guards.

Step 1 of 8

Place lock in cut out of lid. Ensure the rubber seal is not pinched. Fasten with nylocs that are supplied with locks.

Place mounts with the verticle slots facing outwards and horizontal slots facing towards the toolbox. You will need x4 zinc M8x25 hex heads, x8 zinc washers & x4 M8 nylocs per mount. Ensure there are washers each side and the bolt heads face eachother as shown in the video. Do not fasten bolts

Step 3 of 8

Begin seal at the bottom of the toolbox. Feed around and cut to correct lenth ensuring the the two ends of the seal meet neatly at the bottom of the toolbox. This is important to ensure the toolbox does not leak.

Step 4 of 8

Adjust the barrel by loosening and shifting it down about half way. Close toolbox and latch to check if enough downward pressure is created to seal the toolbox. Insert rubber button and rivet bottle opener using x2 stainless steel rivets. Ensure bottle opener is facing correct way.

Step 5 of 8

For a drivers landcruiser toolbox you will need to add the fuel filler. Firstly, rivnut x4 stainless steel M6 rivnuts.

Fasten your fuel filler mount using x4 zinc M6x16 button heads, a spring and flat washer. Make sure the bolt goes through the bottom hole of the mount like so.

Step 7 of 8

Add x2 stainless M6x16 button heads, antiseize and nylocs like so for fuel filler. No need to fasten fuel filler bolts. Your landcruiser drivers side under mount toolbox should now look like this.

Step 8 of 8

For your guards, begin by putting anti seize on x3 M6x16 stainless steel button heads. Attach mud flap and mud flap plate to guard like so and fasten with M6 stainless steel nylocs. The same process occurs for landcruiser guards however a bigger flap and plate is used.
