You want to be dead straight. Pull the ring feeder.

Open it. That's that thing. Like that.

There we go. Never ever touch that with your fingers, because that is a little spring. Any pressure on it will push it up, and it will come shooting down. That's actually how it locks in. The eye hits here, goes up, triggers the lock, and it locks in place.

Anyway, let's check our line. So we're pretty well on.

We're probably going to go over to the left a little bit, but that's alright. We're checking the height of the eye that's going to get fed in.

You want to be aiming the bottom of it, not the top. So your height should be there, and you want it to be hitting just on the base of the ring feeder.

Sometimes an annoying thing that will happen is that little spring-loaded lock will not get triggered.

But there is a solution for that. And here is our elegant solution.

Very handy. A big old screwdriver so you don't stick your fingers in there.

All you do is get down here. The way this works, what's supposed to work when you're back on, is like that.

A little bit of up pressure triggers the locking pin, and in it goes.

But you can see that's not fully locked. For it to be locked, this needs to be all the way down.

This will sit flush in. So when it's like that and it's not locked, there is a little trick you can do.

If there's a bit of air, and we've got the height, so that leg's well and truly off the ground.

I've backed up and put a little bit of pressure on it, so we can hit the trailer brake.

The trailer release brake's on this, and it'll release the brakes on the dolly.

And the pressure that comes off this should drop us down or give us enough movement that that might just drop in itself.

The pressure's off that. Beautiful.

There we go. We are locked in.

So now we're locked in. All we've got to do is secure these away so they don't drag, because we're just going to be dragging this back as a dolly on its own.

And we need to hook these ones up. So when you're dragging just a dolly on its own, we have the supply and the control.

This is our supply. This is our control or brakes.

So, plug these in.

Twist it so it's locked.

Now we'll turn the supply on, which will put air into the dolly.

Plug the electrics in.

This is the brakes for the dolly.

The trailer has its own air supply and its own brakes. The dolly that we're attaching is not going to turn the brakes on.

There's no weight on it, and it will just skid all over the place and bounce and all sorts of trouble.

So we don't need to put this one, turn this one on.

There we go. The supply to the air control to the dolly will release the brakes that's on.

The brake control is turned off.

That way we're not going to skid and bounce and roll down the road.

There we go.

Just put these two together so they don't fall down and drag. Feed the electric line back through.

Taps here off on the dolly. Don't want to let any air out.

And we just need to kick the leg up. And we are ready.

It's also worth noting, these are pretty tight.

The more they rattle, the more they bounce, the more likely they are to break.

Just check our lights and tyres and we're good to go.
