Open the load lid.

<p>Confirm that the latch bolts are secured tightly.</p><p>If these are loose, remove the bolt apply Loctite thread locker, and re-install the bolt.</p>

Note: For the Load-Lid Latches to engage, the lid will need a firm slam, this is because of the air pressure buildup inside the tub as the lid closes.

To confirm if the latches are faulty, manually close the latch and see if you can force this open with a screwdriver, if the latch will not release, this is an alignment issue, not a faulty latch mechanism.

Lower the tailgate.

Lower the lid with the tailgate down.

When the lid is closed, this silver tab should be seated on top of the lock strike.


As the latch is turned, this silver tab should drop down behind the lock strike holding the lid unlocked while the lid is lifted with one hand.

As the lid is closed, the silver tab should sit on top of the U-Bolt and there should be a distinctive click as the lock strike engages.

<p>If the latch seems to be misaligned front to back, or one side is sitting differently to the other, firstly check that the lid is sitting square on the tub by comparing this to a reference point on the tub on each side.</p>

If the latch needs a minor adjustment forward or back, this can be done levering this with a large screw driver.


Test the latch and adjust as required.
