Step 1 of 6

  1. Install Vault, and then inventor. This means you only restart once

  2. we store it in two places, or you can download the latest from your autodesk account online

  1. Open and sign into Autodesk Access, use your metalform email, and autodesk account to log in

  2. Open Vault (be patient with video)

  3. Sign into vault (see next step)

  1. login to vault when it first opens

  2. Use your Autodesk ID

  3. This is the server address
    https://vault.metalform.co.nz/AutodeskTC

  4. click "automatically log in next session"

  5. You need to input this same data into Inventor the first time you start it

  1. "Get" and download these files

  2. Automation, Design Data, Templates and Project file

  1. Open Inventor and login to vault (same as above)

  2. Select the vault project, you will need to navigate to your new Vault folder

  3. It now automatically keeps your templates up to date

  1. Open Application settings, and import the configuration file from the vault maintenance folder

  2. It's also backed up in S drive

  3. Check that the Library is referencing the cloud version

  4. Do the same for "customize" and add in the extra automated button functions, and the keyboard shortcuts
