Remove the screws to separate the crate lid from the pallet. Install the 4x ply supports with flanges facing each other using m6x16 buttonheads. (these will hold the ply wing latches later) If you have a canopy, it is best to install drawers before the canopy.
The center ply support can be left with no bolts in it, then it can be easily removed for storing long items in the wheel arch area after install.
Remove the 2x large sheets of plywood to gain access to the hold down transport screws. Slide open the drawers and remove screws.
Lift drawer unit into wellside and install the small ply wood strip at the front.
Install the front fascia panel with stainless m6x16 button heads, use some antiseize on the bolts. Get all bolts started before tightening.
Install the ply wings and centralize the drawer unit in the wellside. Make sure the tailgate can close properly.
Open the two drawers carefully to access the hold-down bolting area.
Ensure the drawer unit remains centralized.
Drill a pilot hole, taking care not to damage anything beneath when the drill bit passes through the wellside.
Bolting positions vary between vehicle makes and models, so confirm the correct location before drilling.
Before choosing where to drill, check underneath the vehicle to ensure there is sufficient clear space for the bolt and nuts.
Drill a 8.5mm hole through the pilot hole. (2 at the front and 2 at the back, 4 holes total) Be careful not to damage anything below when you plunge through the wellside with the drill bit. Bolt in place with M8x25 bolts and nylocs with flat washers either side. Ensure all drill swarf is blown out or vacuumed up before bolting down.
Install the 2 large sheets of plywood with the countersunk m6 stainless screws, ensure all screws are started before tightening fully. Use some antiseize on the screws.
