How to create a new Autodesk account in our system and assign them to our Vault

Step 1 of 4

  1. Get the user to create an autodesk account using their work email

  1. Then jump into products and assign each product. Designers need Vault and Inventor

  1. Open Vault with an admin account

  2. Go to tools/ Global settings

  3. And "Manage Access"

  1. Note: you cannot delete users from this list. So rename users if you have someone coming/going

  2. For a new user click "New"

  3. Create a login using the Autodesk credentials, and we only run two user types. Grp_Designer, and Grp_Admin

  4. Make sure you add (or change) the user email at both levels
