Strapping Reel Lifter

Swing Crane Scissor Clamp Reel Grab. Designed to grab, hold and maneuver poly strapping reels from a pallet to the strapping unit removing the need of manual lifting.

Use the hand held crane remote to move the clamp into position above the reel.

Keep hands clear of these areas as there is potential for pinch points!

The crane /clamp should be stowed in the 'Home' position, which is flush against the strapper line frame barrier.

Step 4 of 10

With the reel horizontal on the pallet, manually open the scissor clamp to the width of the reel and position the clamps firmly against the reel.

Keep fingers clear of the pinch points.

Step 5 of 10

The lifting movement increases the holding pressure of the clamp against the reel, so the reel will not fall.

Step 6 of 10

Ensure pedestrian walkway is clear and safe before proceeding.

Maneouver the clamped reel across to the strapping unit.

Step 7 of 10

<p>Move the reel into a vertical position and use the remote control to lower the reel onto the strapper deck or into position to replace a finished reel.</p>

Once the reel is in position or locked in position, lower the scissor clamp to release grab pressure and remove clamps.

Stow the crane /clamp in the 'Home' position, which is flush against the strapper line frame barrier.

If you are unsure of any step in this process speak with your supervisor.
If there are any operating issues or visual damage to the crane unit alert your Supervisor and Maintenance team and Lock Out Take Out the crane until issues addressed.
