Step 1 of 13

General Notes

  • Read through the fitting instructions before installation of the accessory. Install the accessory following the fitting instructions. Failure to do so may cause damage to the vehicle or the accessory.

  • Ensure all recyclable discarded vehicle accessory components and packaging are recycled following local recycling regulations.

  • It is always recommended that this accessory is fitted by a qualified Kia Technician.

  • Safely store and protect any removed vehicle components.

  • Ensure all bare metal surfaces are protected using automotive bare metal primer and touch-up paint, or suitable automotive rust inhibitor.

  • Remove all metal swarf and dust from all vehicle surfaces if surface is used for accessory installation.

Safety Notes

  • Check that all work practices comply with safety standards.

  • Please wear appropriate clothing and use safety equipment.

Cleaning Notes

  • Spray with a firm water spray to remove any loose dirt, then wash with water, detergent, and a soft cloth/ sponge

  • Do not use petroleum based solvents or abrasives.

Step 1

IMPORTANT

For fitment to be successful, ambient conditions must be between 15 - 27°C with a maximum of 80% relative

humidity.

  • If a vehicle has been outside overnight, allowing the vehicle to warm up in a workshop to remove any surface condensation may be required.

  • To ensure adequate adhesion, it is recommended that installation of vehicle accessory is done prior to the application of vehicle detailing or protective products.

  • Clean and dry the upper door frames of all four doors.

Tools Used

  • Clean, dry cloth

Step 2

  • Using a ruler, trial fit the Front LHS Stylevisor 2mm away from the top and rear edge of the door frame.

Note: the backing tape attachment areas.

Remove the Front LHS Stylevisor.

DO NOT REMOVE BACKING TAPE.

  • Repeat for RHS.

Tools Used

  • Ruler

  • Non-permanent pen or pencil

Step 3

  • Using a ruler, trial fit the Rear LHS Stylevisor 2mm away from the top and front edge of the door frame.

  • Note the backing tape attachment areas.

  • Remove the Rear LHS Stylevisor.

DO NOT REMOVE BACKING TAPE.

  • Repeat for RHS.

Tools Used

  • Ruler

  • Non-permanent pen or pencil

Step 4

  • Clean the tape attachment areas on both RHS and LHS front door frames thoroughly with the alcohol wipes provided and allow to dry.

  • Apply adhesion promoter directly onto the tape attachment areas of both front door frames.

IMPORTANT

Allow the Adhesion Promoter 5 minutes drying time once applied.

  • Keep out of contact with eyes, skin, mouth, etc. Do not inhale.

Step 5

  • Clean the tape attachment areas on both RHS and LHS rear door frames thoroughly with the alcohol wipes provided and allow to dry.

  • Apply adhesion promoter directly onto the tape attachment areas of both rear door frames.

IMPORTANT

Allow the Adhesion Promoter 5 minutes drying time once applied.

  • Keep out of contact with eyes, skin, mouth, etc.

Step 6 - FRONT STYLE SUPERVISOR

  • Select the Front LHS Stylevisor, peel back approximately 50mm (2”) of the backing tape liner from each of the tape sections and fold at 45o to the outside of the Front LHS Stylevisor, as shown. Discard the small backing tape liner at the back end of the Stylevisor.

IMPORTANT

Do not touch the exposed surface of the backing tape.

  • Install the Front LHS Stylevisor and position it on the Front LHS door frame following the positioning in Step 2.

  • Double check the positioning of the Front LHS Stylevisor, then apply light pressure to the tape areas.

  • Peel the remaining backing tape liner away slowly by pulling on the exposed ends of the liner, and apply firm pressure around the attachment areas.

  • Using the Felt Block, firmly rub along the attachment areas a minimum of four times to ensure maximum adhesion.

Repeat steps 6-9 for front RHS.

Step 10 - REAR STYLE SUPERVISOR

  • Select the Rear LHS Stylevisor, peel back approximately 50mm (2”) of the backing tape liner from each of the tape sections and fold at 45o to the outside of the Rear LHS Stylevisor, as shown. Discard the small backing tape liner at the front end of the Stylevisor.

IMPORTANT

Do not touch the exposed surface of the backing tape.

  • Install the Rear LHS Stylevisor and position it on the rear LHS door frame following the positioning in Step 3.
