While supporting the door

Slide the clip at the top of the gas strut while supporting the product.

While sliding the quick release mechanism, pull the strut away from the ball stud.

Bring the gas strut around and lever this off the ball stud.

Place on the ball stud and knock this onto the ball stud.

Slide the quick released and place this onto the ball stud.

Make sure this has engaged fully.
