The backing gate is behind the cows on the yard. It is controlled from within the shed.

It isn’t to be used to push cows! Use it to remove free space in the yard from the cows to encourage them to move. If cows heads come up you are squashing them😡

Only one person should operate the backing gate so someone doesn’t turn it on and then forgets it. Cows will be crushed😡

Use the gate regularly but only for short bursts of time. Maximum 5 seconds.

Excessive use will make cows fearful and cause poor cow flow. It will also cause lameness.
