Because only minimal adjustment is needed in the aluminium (which is soft enough to flex slightly), the lock strike position can be tweaked to improve the angle of contact.

Place something over the powder coating to protect this. A thin piece of rubber or multiple layers of masking tape will work then tweak the bottom of this bracket towards the door by 2-3 mm.

Trim the door switch using a pair of pliers and further tweak and adjust the latches as required.

The door switch will only need approx. 3 mm of compression to work.
