How to install your chassis mounts & tray on your Landcruiser

Step 1 of 11

Grab a fine thread M12x35 bolt, a spring & flat washer and apply loctite. Take the front left mount and fasten to the front of the chassis like so. 


Leave all bolts loose at the stage.


Take a M12x35 bolt with a flat washer on each side and fasten the centre mount to the chassis with a nyloc.

Use a M12x35 bolt with a flat washer each side and fasten the rear mount using a nyloc.

Mirror the same steps you have just completed on the other side of the chassis.


Lift the tray above the chassis. If you have central locking, feed the loom up the headboard column.


Lower the tray on to the mounts.

Place a chassis stiffener in the chassis runner behind each mount. 


Take a mount washer and fasten to the mounts using M12x35 bolts and a nyloc on the back. 


Repeat this process with each of the mounts.

Step 5 of 11

Ensure that there is a 40mm gap between the headboard and the cab. If you have a headboard watertank, ensure there is a 40mm gap between the watertank and headboard.

If you have a service body tray, ensure the tray sits 130mm from cab. This measurement is taken from beneath the cab window and the front horizontal cross runner on the tray.

Your chassis mounts should be looking like this with the chassis stiffener on the other side. 


Ensure that your chassis mounts are square to the tray.


Fasten the bolts that mount the tray to the chassis mounts.

Continue tightening all bolts that mount the tray and the chassis mounts.


Fasten the fine thread bolts at the front using a torque wrench set to 100 newton meters

Check that the chassis mounts are fitted evenly on the chassis.


Fasten all bolts that mount the chassis and mounts together. 


Mark the bolts when they have been fastened.

Step 10 of 11

Fasten the central locking plug to the headboard using stainless self tapping screws.


Insert the wedge in to the plug.

Your chassis mount and tray installation is now complete.
