How to install spring latches to your SAFA toolbox

Take the sheet metal part, place in between the drawers and body of the toolbox like so.

Ensure you have correct part by lining up the 7mm holes just underneath each of the handles of the drawer.

Drill all the 5mm holes and rivet to the toolbox.

Your toolbox should be looking like this.

Drill the x3 5mm on the outside and rivet to the toolbox. 

For the centre hole, pry the bracket back to gain access with the riveter.

Drill through each of the 7mm holes just underneath the handle of the drawer.

Take one of the latches and make sure that the pin fits freely inside the 7mm hole.

Place the pin of the latch in the hole, ensuring that the latch sits flush with the side of the drawer and sits straight. 

If your latch sticks out like this when you place the pin in the hole, slot the 7mm hole out towards you.

Once the latch is correctly in place, mark where the holes in the latch sits for each drawer.

Drill the marks out with a 5mm drill bit.

Rivet each of your latches in place. 

Once each latch is installed, your toolbox should be looking like this.

Repeat the same process to the other side of the toolbox.

Clean up all swarf.

Your drawers should now latch closed.

Your SAFA toolbox latch installation is now complete.
