Look over the machine.


Is anything unsafe or out of place?


Fix it or tell your supervisor.

Make sure no one is working on the machine


Check that no one is inside, behind, or working near the machine.

Let others know


Tell everyone working nearby that you are about to isolate the machine.

Choose the correct switch


Use the right isolation switch for the part of the machine you are working on.


Refer to the isolation layout on the machines SOP
