


Preparation
Park in a well ventilated space
Ensure there are no ignition sources nearby
Ensure the forklift is turned off
Put on gloves
Important: Gloves MUST be worn at all times when changing the gas bottle. There is a potential that hazardous liquid gas may leak whilst changing over gas bottle.
Grab FULL Gas Bottle
Open Gas Bottle Cage
Remove FULL Gas Bottle
Close Gas Bottle Cage

Check FULL Gas Bottle O-Ring
Check that the O-Ring on the FULL gas bottle is in good condition.
Important: If the O-Ring is missing or damaged, tag out the gas bottle and notify your supervisor.
Take FULL Gas Bottle to Forklift
Use a trolley to take the FULL gas bottle over to the forklift.
Note: Trolleys can be found near the gas bottle cages
Turn OFF Gas!!!
Turn off the gas on the empty gas bottle to prevent potential leaks.
Rotate the valve Clockwise to turn off the gas.
Important: If you are unable to turn off the gas or the valve is damaged, you should stop work and notify your supervisor.
Position Holder for Changeover
Release the side lock to free the gas bottle holder
Rotate the holder to the other side of the forklift
Pull the side pin and gently lower the holder
Unscrew Gas Connector
Important: Ensure you are wearing gloves before unscrewing.
Rotate connecter Counter-Clockwise to unscrew.
Note: If liquid gas leaks from the connector, stop work and inform your supervisor immediately. If safe to do so, attempt to stop the leak using welding gloves or a heavy duty rag.

Check Gas Connector O-Ring
Check the gas connector to ensure it has an O-Ring. If the O-Ring is missing, please inform your supervisor.
Note: Proceeding with a missing O-Ring may result in gas leaking from the connector.
Remove Empty Gas Bottle
Unlock clamps
Remove empty gas bottle from the holder
Insert FULL Gas Bottle
Pick up the FULL gas bottle
Use the alignment bolt to line up the bottle
Insert the bottle into the holder
Clamp the FULL Gas Bottle
Use the clamps to fasten the gas bottle to the holder.
If necessary, adjust the tightness of the clamps so they fit snug.
Screw in the Gas Connector
Screw in the gas connector from the forklift into the gas bottle.

Check Alignment of Gas Connector Hose
Check the alignment of the connector hose to ensure it won't get pinched when the bottle is lifted.
If it looks like it might get pinched, realign the gas connector.
Turn on Gas
Rotate the gas valve Counter-Clockwise to turn on the gas.
Once open, check for any leaks around the connection point.
Important: If a leak is detected, turn off the gas and re-tighten the connector. If leak persists, turn off the gas and notify a supervisor.
Return Holder to Working Position
Pull the side pin and gently raise the holder
Pull the top pin and rotate the holder
Lift the holder up and into the latch to secure
Place Empty Gas Bottle in Cage
Take the empty bottle to the empty gas bottles cage
