Step 2 of 7Occurs when you have a difficult calving, twins or milk fever.

Step 3 of 7If occurring in cows that have no calving issues it is usually associated with selenium deficiency. Consult your vet.

As soon as it occurs treat with 3ml PG every milking for up to 4 milkings. ( stop treatment if it releases)

Antibiotics aren't required unless temperature goes above 39.5. Check temperature daily. If necessary use tetracyclines ( eg Alamycin 10 ) at 20 ml daily. Withhold milk 60 hours, meat 11 d.

Step 6 of 7Plus non steroidal treatment such as Loxicom 12ml per 500kg under skin. With hold: Milk 4 days Meat 11 days
