STEP 5: Setting the Ladder

STEP 8: Testing the locking

3
Step 3 of 10

Take the bolt out of the stopper to set.

4
Step 4 of 10

Move the stopper back to the rear.

5
Step 5 of 10

Lift the ladder onto the Ladd-A-Lok and get the front of the ladder as close to the loop as possible, and drop it down. Slide the ladder forward close to where it needs to be locked into place; normally, the end of the ladder will be in line with the edge of the tailgate when it's down.

6
Step 6 of 10

Move the closest rung over the "rear triangle".

7
Step 7 of 10

Slide the stopper until it hits the bearing. Look for the closest hole in the stopper that lines up with the hole in the ladd-a-lok and fasten the bolt.

8
Step 8 of 10

Push the ladder all the way to the front and ensure it locks into place. If it does not, move the stopper back one "small" hole at a time until the ladder locks into place securely.

9
Step 9 of 10

Ensure that the ladder is tight and secure. Movement should be minimal, and ensure it is locked in at "stage 2".
