Remove pin switch.

Hold pin switch bracket hard up into the door jam corner and pull towards the outside of the canopy (this is important for correct pin switch throw) . Match drill the 2x 5mm holes with a 5mm drill bit to dimple the hole center's.

Drill 2x 3mm pilot holes and follow with a 5mm bit. Open up the original 4.5mm pin switch mounting hole to 5mm.

Deburr the holes to ensure good sealing and fitment.

Apply anti-seize/brake paste to all Stainless bolts.

Apply sealant to bracket mounting holes.

Apply sealant to old pin switch location holes close to the hole, as there's only the bolt head sealing face.

Install new bracket.

Install blanking bolts in the old pin switch location holes.

Tighten bolts.

Tighten bolts.

Place pin switch in the new bracket and check ring terminal on the harness has enough length to reach the m4 bolt. If to short, cut cable ties and extend harness to reach the new pin switch location.

You may need to remove the cable gland and relay cover to extend the harness.

Ensure you have enough length. You may need to feed some excess length of the door harness into the door stiffener cavity, by slipping the harness through the cable ties on the vertical door stiffener.

Install the ring terminal on the m4 bolt and tighten.

Install the spade terminal.

Secure harness with cable ties.

Ensure the pin switch will operate properly and the harness isn't pulling on it and causing poor connections.

Re-instate cable gland and relay cover.
