

Never Enter the Milk Vat - It is a confined space and is very dangerous.

Check Vat Whiteboard to identify the correct vat for Washing/Filling

Make sure the vat is empty.

Look inside the vat with torch for protein build up or foreign objects. Remove any foreign objects before vat wash. The vat in the example image above needs a deep clean, inform you Manager or 2IC. Post Image on WhatsApp

Remove the rubber seal from the vat door and hang over door so it is washed.

Check the tap below the door is open.
Select the Vat to be washed on the Dairy Control Panel. The "Vat Ready for Wash" light indicating taps are in correct position for wash to proceed.

Check hot water temperature is above 80 degrees and post photo of temperature on WhatsApp

Select wash on the Milfos Vat Wash Controller
Check chemical is dispensing

After the completion of the wash, check vat is clean
