Internal Canopy Racks

Read the fitting instructions before install. Use a qualified technician. Recycle packaging. Store removed parts safely. Remove swarf/dust from install surfaces. Follow safety standards. Wear appropriate clothing and equipment.

General Notes

Read through the fitting instructions before installation of the accessory. Install the accessory following the fitting instructions. Failure to do so may cause damage to the vehicle or the accessory.
Ensure all recyclable discarded vehicle accessory components and packaging are recycled following local recycling regulations.
It is always recommended that this accessory is fitted by a qualified Kia Technician.
Safely store and protect any removed vehicle components.
Ensure all bare metal surfaces are protected using automotive bare metal primer and touch-up paint, or suitable automotive rust inhibitor.
Remove all metal swarf and dust from all vehicle surfaces if surface is used for accessory installation.

Step 1

IMPORTANT

Always refer to the vehicle’s Workshop Manual when removing vehicle components.

Thoroughly clean and dry the interior of the canopy and tub where the installation will take place.

Step 2

Locate the rectangular patches in the canopy roof lining as shown in four locations.
Cut the eight patches out and discard.

Tools Used

Utility Knife.

Step 4 of 13

Step 3

Attach the Front Bracket RH (9) using two M8x20 Hex Bolts (10).
Attach the front bolt first as this goes into a weldnut on the tub.
For the rear Bolt (10), use an M8 Washer (14) and M8 Clutch Nut (12).
Repeat for LHS.

Note: The bolts should be finger tightened only.

Tools Used

Wrench and 12mm Socket.

Step 4

Remove the rear most M8 bolt (A), washer and nut that was used to fasten the canopy to the tub and discard.
Repeat for LHS.

Step 5

Install the Rear Bracket (7) using two M8x30 Hex Bolts (11) and Nut Plate (6).
Repeat for LHS

Note: The Bolts should be finger tightened only.

Step 7 of 13

Step 6

Slide both the Front Bar LH (1) and Front Bar RH (2) into the Cross Bar (5).

Note: Ensure the holes in the Cross Bar (5) aligns with the holes in the Front Bar LH/RH (1/2).

Step 7

Bring the Front Bar Assembly (A) towards the inside of the canopy and ensure that the narrow end of the top bracket is facing towards the front as shown.
Align the Front Bar Assembly (A) with the installed Front Brackets (8/9) at the front of the tub.
Loosely secure the Front Bar Assembly (A) using two M8x20 Hex Bolts (10).
Repeat for LHS.

Note: The Bolts should be finger tightened only.

Step 8

Slide both the Rear Bar LH (3) and Rear Bar RH (4) into the Cross Bar (5).

Note: Ensure the holes in the Cross Bar (5) aligns with the holes in the Rear Bar LH/RH (3/4).

Step 10 of 13

Step 9

Bring the Rear Bar Assembly (A) towards the inside of the canopy and ensure that the top bracket narrow end is facing towards the front of the tub as shown.
Align the Rear Bar Assembly (A) with the installed Rear Brackets at the rear of the tub.
Loosely secure the Rear Bar Assembly (A) to the Rear Bracket (7) using two M8x20 Hex Bolts (10).

Note: The bolts should be finger tightened only.
