

Hang up all cups.
Turn off the platform Hydraulics and feed switches (don’t turn the vacuum off).

Hold the green button for 3 seconds to activate wash surge, (you will hear a whistle sound).
Hook the wash hoses up to the platform.
Make sure the LEFT side tap is UP.
The RIGHT side tap is pointing DOWN to the ground.
Open the tap for the cold water (silver tap near hot water tank the tap should face along the wash line towards the blue drums)
Fill the drum as it empties.
Remove the hose from the calf vat once watery milk appears.
Walk around the platform to ensure all the cups are being washed and check the Platform Hydraulics switch is off.

Close cold water taps to stop suction from drum.
Fill the cold-water drum so it’s ready for the next wash.
(The silver handle should now be facing towards the hot water service).
Open the taps on the milk filters to let excess water drain out.
- Remove the milk filters and replace them with new ones.
- Place the filters back into the canisters, close the taps on the bottom of the filter cages.
- Put used milk filters on dairy floor to be washed and then hang on fence to dry ready to go into red bin once dry.
Turn the taps near (white hot water system) ON (push them towards the hot water system pointing to platform).
This will allow the water to recycle.
Push the button on the chemical dose pump. ACID for PM wash.

Fill hot water drum to the top ready for the hot wash.
Turn the tap with the blue handle on, this will allow the hot water to go through the plant.
Allow the water to cycle for 2-3 minutes, you will hear a whistle sound count about 6-8 of them.
Go back up the stairs and turn the two handles towards the main vat.
This will allow the water from plant to drain. It will take a few minutes.
Open the taps on the milk filters to drain excess water.

Once milk filters are drained turn plant vacuum switch OFF.

Remove the hose from the platform and drain the milk hose.
