Reusable Pallet Wrap Application

Application, removal & rolling.

Step 1 of 12

Lean the wrap at a 30 degree angle to the centre of the load, with the metal base ring facing down. Release the 2 Velcro tabs.

Note: if using a wrap with short or no vertical bars, place the loose top end under a unit of stock.

Unroll the wrap anti-clockwise around the load, meeting the 2 ends at the front.

Holding the bars of each end of the wrap, shimmy it until the entire wrap sits above the pallet and both ends of the wrap are equally central.

Resting your forearm across both ends, apply the second highest front strap.

Apply all front straps with as much tension as can be easily applied.

Apply the front and rear base strap by sliding them under the pallet and attaching them to the angled metal ring.

Base straps can also be fed through the gap between the upper pallet slats if issues arise with base straps catching against side-by-side pallets, or needing to be removed whilst in racking.

Throw the top strap over the load before applying it to the opposite side.

Place any paperwork in the document pouch and ensure the wrap is uniform and tight.

REMOVAL: undo the base and top straps, Velcroing them closed onto themselves.

Undo the front straps, Velcroing them back in place.

REMOVAL: drag the wrap to a free space clear of forklift lanes, with the straps facing the ground.

ROLLING: roll from the strap end to logo end, staying in one place whilst dragging the wrap towards you.

Keep the top and base straps tucked within the roll, and seal the Velcro end tabs.

FASTER ROLLING METHOD: If the wrap is still on the load (ie boxes haven't been unloaded), fold it twice before removing it, laying it on the ground and rolling.

CLEANING:

Cleaning requirements depend on the application. If there is no direct food contact, our general recommendations are:

When to clean:

When dirt visibly rubs off on your hands,
immediately after spills occur, or
on the same schedule as your other reusable assets (such as plastic pallets).

How to clean:

For light dirt: Hang wraps outside and hose them off (use a pressure washer if available).
For heavier soiling: scrub wraps with mild detergent and a brush.
For food-safety compliant cleaning protocols or efficient high-volume cleaning solutions, please contact Bearhug directly.

Drying:

Hang in direct sunlight for quick drying, or
hang indoors (such as over racking) where they'll dry in 24-48 hours.

REPAIR:

Separate damaged wraps, especially if the damage prevents safe and effective use of the wraps.

Bearhug will repair wraps free of charge within the 2 year (pallet wraps, keg wraps) or 1 year (other products) warranty period.
