Get the latches. Make sure you have the correct ones. There are; All black, All chrome or Black with a chrome handle

You know you have the “central locking” type latch if it has this red actuator attached 👍
For a canopy, we need to replace the “striker bracket” with one with more offset. The one held in hand is the new one

Remove the nut. 14mm
Remove old, the fit new striker bracket

Tighten the nut, 14mm

We need to refit the black striker

Latches are supplied with 2 lengths of striker. We will use the longer one

Fit long black striker to latch.
The exact position will be adjusted later to get the correct firmness
It is necessary to partially disassemble the latch so that it can be fitted to the canopy door (so it fits through the cut out)

Unlock the latch using the supplied keys

Find this split pin on the latch

Disconnect the actuator. Keep the split pin and washer! They will be reused

Undo the 4x screws.

The actuator will come away from the latch

The backing plate will come away
Latch is now ready to fit to the door. With latch unlocked. Wiggle it into the canopy door cutout
Set backing plate on loosely

Fit actuator, and thr 4 screws which secure the backing plate

Refit actuator linkage.

Now try it. Close the canopy door and feel if it closes nice and firm.
If required, the tightness of the door can be adjusted by moving the black striker up or down
