Open drain valve on receiver/air tank, Turn key on and start compressor (use choke if required),

Close drain valve on receiver/air tank, check gauge for air pressure increasing. Compressor will require the drain valve to be open again if its trying to build air pressure when starting. Failing to do so may result in the electric start fuse failing.
