
General Notes
Read through the fitting instructions before installation of the accessory. Install the accessory following the fitting instructions. Failure to do so may cause damage to the vehicle or the accessory.
Ensure all recyclable discarded vehicle accessory components and packaging are recycled following local recycling regulations.
It is always recommended that this accessory is fitted by a qualified Kia Technician.
Safely store and protect any removed vehicle components.
Ensure all bare metal surfaces are protected using automotive bare metal primer and touch-up paint, or suitable automotive rust inhibitor.
Remove all metal swarf and dust from all vehicle surfaces if surface is used for accessory installation.

Check that all work practices comply with safety standards.
Please wear appropriate clothing and use safety equipment.
Step 1
Remove the four scrivets holding the bed cap and lift the bed cap from the tub. Retain all hardware for reinstall.
Repeat for LHS.
TIP: Remove the bed cap using an 8mm socket. Easiest way to remove the bed cap without breakage.

Step 2
IMPORTANT
Perform this step only if the tub liner is fitted.
Mark the line on the tub liner using a Marking Pen, 45mm from top of the tub liner.
Remove and discard the four scrivets from the top of the tubliner.
Trim the tub liner along the marked line on the front face of the tub.
Deburr and clean the edges.
Note:
Lift the tub liner away from the tub during the trimming. Remove the
required fasteners to keep the OE assembled tub liner away from the tub
when trimming.
Please note that the corner markings are not applicable to this fitment.

Step 3
Mark a centre line on the front header of tub using a Marking Pen. Mark 645mm from centre and 15.5mm from the front face forwards.
Centre punch the three top locations (A) and drill pilot hole with 5mm
Drill, then Drill out to 11mm.
Deburr and clean the edges.
Apply Rust Inhibitor (16).

Step 4
Fit the three Rivnuts (9) in locations (A).
Tools Used
Rivnut Tool.
Step 5
IMPORTANT
Only install Cover Plate (3) if tub liner is fitted.
Place the Header Rail (2) on the tub and centralise it.
Install the Cover Plate (3) on top of the Header Rail (2) if a tub liner is installed.
Secure the Header Rail (2) using the seven M8x20 Torx Screws (13).
Torque to 20 Nm.
Note:
If tub liner is fitted install the Cover Plate (3) when installing the front
Torx Screws (13), ensure the Cover Plate (3) covers the trimmed tub liner
(A) and retains it in place.

Step 6
Place the Striker Bracket RH (7) on the tub in location shown.
Secure it to the tub from the top with an M8x20 Torx Screw (13), M8 Flat Washer (15) and M8 Nylock Nut (14).
Secure the Striker Bracket RH (7) from the side with an M8x20 Torx Screw (13).
Torque to 20Nm.
Adjust hoop height to 45mm, by loosening, moving and then tightening.
Torque M10 Nuts (A) to 10Nm
Repeat for LHS

Step 7
Place the Strut Bracket RH (5) on the tub in location shown.
Secure the Strut Bracket RH (5) to the tub from the top with an M8 x20 Torx Screw (13).
Secure the Gas Strut Bracket RH (5) from side with M6 Nut Plate (12) and two M6x20 Allen Screws (10).
Torque the M8x20 Torx Screw (13) to 20Nm.
Torque M6x20 Allen Screws (10) to 8Nm.
Repeat for LHS.

Step 8
Clean the area on the bed cap where the Foam Pad (11) will adhere with 50/50 Isopropyl Alcohol/Water.
Apply the Foam Pad (11) to the bed cap as shown.
Repeat for LHS.
Tools Used
50/50 Isopropyl Alcohol/Water.
BED CAP SEALING
IMPORTANT:
Always refer to the vehicle’s Workshop Manual when removing vehicle components.
Note:
This product requires the addition of sealing to the bed cap along
the edge where it will contact the tub.
The 3M double sided tape must be applied underneath the bed cap along the outside edge as shown on the RHS.
Repeat for the LHS.
Step 9
Refit the bed cap (A) using previously retained hardware.
Ensure the Foam Pad (11) on the side rail compresses against the header rail.
Repeat for LHS.

Phillips Head Screwdriver.
Step 10
Install the Tonneau Cover (1) by letting the hinge tongue (A) to rest on front of the hinge groove (B) while holding the cover in a 70-80° angle.
Move the Tonneau Cover (1) toward the vehicle cabin to slide the tongue into the groove, ensure hinge parts fully engage.
NOTE: When installing the Tonneau Cover (1) the rubber seal must be compressed by two people to allow the tongue to engage the groove.
Close the Tonneau Cover (1) slowly while checking that the cover is correctly lined up to the tub and the latch mechanisms are not touching the tub’s side rails.
Note: If the Tonneau Cover (1) does not line up correctly, move hinge parts mounted to the front rail forward or backward, one at the time. Then torque screws (C) to 5Nm.

Step 11
Attach Gas Struts (8) to the Strut Brackets (4&5) by clipping into place.
Ensure narrow end mounts to the vehicle.
Check the Tonneau Cover (1) is locking properly and if any adjustment is required, follow the latch adjustment guide.
Place the Fitting Instructions in the glove box after installation is completed.
