Step 9 of 17

#New BOM This step shows importing a new bom and creating the parts

10
Step 10 of 17

#Existing BOM This step shows importing an existing bom to compare the inventor bom (left) with what's in GSS (right)

In this case, we are removing the part KNO-001-P1012 that isn't required anymore, and creating the new part KNO-001-P1013.

11
Step 11 of 17

#Choosing which data you want to keep The description has changed (orange) and we can ignore this change. Here I select the GSS option, on the right and it goes "grey" meaning that no changes are required.

12
Step 12 of 17

#Updated to existing parts If you push an update to a part (like this video) it will only change the BOM details, not the inventory.

If you need to change the sort code or other data after creation, you will need to do that inside BOM control.

13
Step 13 of 17

#Install Install he latest version of the GSS plugin from Vault as required. It's stored on the vault under maintenance, along with the mapping file.

Hit right click, and "get" on both

Restart inventor, and navigate to the GSS tab

Then import the mapping file from step 1. You'll have to navigate to "C/Vault/Maintenance" to find this.

Your screen should then have all the mapping configuration shown in this window
