Access System Information

• On your Windows 10 device, click the Start button.
• Search for System and open System Information.
• Note the system name (e.g., DESKTOP-OMA2H2.).

Identify Your Device on the Optus Modem

• Open your internet browser and access your Optus modem settings (usually by typing the modem's IP address into the browser's address bar).
• Locate your device by its system name in the list of connected devices.

Set Parental Controls

• Select the device you want to set controls for.
• Navigate to the Parental Control section.
• Choose the option to deny or allow internet access during specific times:

1. Deny All to block all internet access.
2. Allow for specific hours by dragging your mouse to select the time range (e.g., 12 PM to 4 PM). 

Test Internet Access Restriction

• On your Windows device, open Microsoft Edge or any other browser.
• Try to visit a website (e.g., microsoft.com) to verify if it loads.
• If you have blocked internet access, the website should not load.

Configure URL Filtering

• In the modem settings, go to Network Settings.
• Click on URL Filter.
• Add websites you want to block (e.g., microsoft.com).
• Apply the changes.

Confirm URL Blocking

• Test the URL blocking by attempting to access the blocked website.
• On your Windows device, try to access the blocked website again.
• The website should not load, indicating that the URL filter is working.

Additional Notes:

• URL filtering will apply to all devices connected to your home network.
• Parental controls and URL filters are basic but effective for general control.
• These settings are applicable to all devices connected to the modem, not just the targeted one.
