This is everything you need to know to install an irrigation system. Hey, my name is Caleb.

Now that you've planned out the best irrigation system that works for you, it's time to install it.

Let's get to it. Firstly, attach your timer to the closest hose outlet.

This will help with turning your irrigation system on. This filter cleans the water before filtering into the drip systems to prevent blockages.

We've added a connector onto the filter in order to connect this to the timer.

Now that our filter is in, we'll need to ensure that our poly pipe is cut to the correct size and attached to the elbow.

Make sure the pipe goes right to the end.

Slide the clamp in and clip it into place.

Attach the poly pipe to the elbow and secure it with a clamp. From here, lay the pipe in the desired position.

When approaching your corner, attach an elbow with a clamp to avoid kinks in your pipe.

If you've run out of poly pipe, use a barb joiner and connect your two pieces together.

If you're wanting water to flow in both directions, attach a barb tee. Once you've reached the end of your poly pipe, attach a stopper along with a clamp.

To secure the pipes, use irrigation pins.

Use a punch spanner and punch a hole into your pipe.

With your riser, attach the sprayer, twist and push it into the pipe.

Ensure that your sprayer is facing the right way. If you're going with the drip system, measure the length of the 4mm poly pipe and attach the dripper to the end.

Now that we've set up our irrigation system, it's time to apply mould to the garden bed.

This will help keep the pipes in place, as well as help with water retention and to stop your weeds from growing.

Now all that's left to do is test the system and make sure that everything is in good working order.
