How to Turn On the Genelite Generator

Check for fuel/fuel the generator - in the door marked 'diesel fuel'.

Fuel type: diesel.

Turn the battery isolator on - in the door marked 'battery isolator'.

Close the door.

Inspect inside the 'diesel fuel' door. Make sure there's nothing out of the ordinary.

Close the door.

Go to the other side and open both doors.

Check the oil/make sure the oil is right. Dip your oil. Make sure oil is at the correct level.

Check that the coolant in the reservoir and in the radiator is not low.

Close the doors.

Go to the circuit box and lift the lid.

Undo the two lead covers.

Grab the leads, open the cap and plug into the circuit box. Make sure that the ports on the lead align with the pins in the box. Screw to secure in place.

Note: it does not matter which lead goes in which plug.

Go to the back and open the door.

Turn the key to on and then press the green button directly above the key. The little bottom red light should be on.

It will glow itself and automatically start after 5-10 seconds.

Make sure there is oil pressure when it starts - top gauge.

If it doesn't, turn it off.

Shut the door once it is going.

To change over:

It will be on mains (switch at the bottom).

  1. Flick it to off (halfway up).

  2. And then auxiliary (fully up).

Do not just flick it straight to the top in one go - you must pause in the middle.

Do this for both switches and then you will be operating/powered by the generator.

Note: to turn off, flick the switch from auxiliary back to mains. Turn the key to OFF. Turn the isolator OFF. Fuel up.
