Ensure calves get 2- 4L of good quality colostrum ( 22 plus Brix on refractometer ) within as close to possible 12 hours of birth.
This will mean either two pick ups a day or going out and tubing on their mothers after PM milking.

Tag and record. NLIS tags go in the right ear only.

Ensure the trailer is clean. Fake grass is great for making a no slip environment.

At pick up disinfect their navels with stock iodine and 10% meths added ( not teatspray ) before they go onto the calf trailer / carrier.
DON'T OVERCROWD THE TRAILER!

Make sure they go straight to the calf shed and are unloaded. DON'T LEAVE THEM SITTING IN THE TRAILER WHILE OTHER JOBS ARE DONE!
Disinfect the navels again on arrival.
Give all replacements 1 ml multimin and 1 ml ADE
