Aids prevention of calf scours associated with E coli, rotavirus and coronavirus by antibody transfer to the calf.

NOTE IT ONLY WORKS IF GOOD COLOSTRUM TRANSFER OCCURS.

It is a 2ml subcutaneous injection with nil with holding periods.

Step 4 of 8

The ideal time for the booster is exactly 4 weeks pre calving start date. This is due date not actual date e.g. due Aug 1 even though they'll start calving a week earlier. You will be able to cover the first three weeks of calving on this date.

If you give your first booster earlier than 4 weeks before due date every week earlier takes a week off how many cows into calving you can do.

5 weeks before due date will only allow the first two weeks of calving to be done at this time etc

Step 7 of 8

A primary dose needs given 4 - 8 weeks prior to the booster for first calvers only, or if it’s the first time you are vaccinating your herd.

Step 8 of 8

You will need to do groups of calving cows in batches based on due date as above. e.g. ideally if the first group is done 4 weeks pre calving this will include first 3 weeks of calving cows. The next 3 weeks need done basically at due start date.
