Step 1 of 12

Park trailer and machine on firm, level ground.

Park trailer and machine on firm, level ground.

2
Step 2 of 12

Lower ramps and adjust spacing to suit wheel track as necessary.

3
Step 3 of 12

Release rear ratchet straps and unhook from mounting points. Move released straps clear of the exit path of the machine.

4
Step 4 of 12

Start machine, raise boom, then drive forward until front chains are slackened. Engage park brake.

Start machine, raise boom, then drive forward until front chains are slackened. Engage park brake.

5
Step 5 of 12

Unhook front chains from front mounting points on machine. Move chains aside so they are clear of the wheels when re-loading.

6
Step 6 of 12

Release the park brake and carefully reverse machine down ramps. Keeping the bucket low and the boom extended will help with traction and stability. Note: The forward pedal can be used to 'brake' the machine and control decent speed down the ramps.

Step 7 of 12

RE-LOADING the machine:
Drive machine centrally onto the trailer (keeping bucket low and extended to increase traction and stabilty), moving forward until wheels are nearly at front rail of trailer. Raise boom and engage the park brake.

Step 8 of 12

Connect both chains diagonally across from the front trailer anchor points to the opposite front anchor points on the machine as shown.

9
Step 9 of 12

Release the park brake, then reverse the machine until chains are taut - this sometines requires a small movement of the steering wheel to even up the chain tension.

10
Step 10 of 12

Retract boom and position bucket at a slight rearward tilt, and then lower bucket onto the front rail. This will gently push the machine back into the tensioned chains. Re-apply the park brake.
