


Hazards/ Risks
Chemical leaking from tin could cause fire spread or chemical to come into contact with user
Contaminating spoon utensils/ consuming residual chemical
Burns from heat and fire of Oz gel unit and fondue kit
Inhalation of harmful chemical fumes

Inspection of Oz gel unit
Visually inspect container is intact and not damaged
Use the handle of a spoon to open lid
Place dirty spoon in cutlery bin

Light Oz gel
Use in well ventilated area (Restaurant/ Lounge bar is sufficient)
Carefully light Oz gel tin with lighter and place fondue kit on top
When removing fondue kit, place lid to extinguish flame using cloth napkin so there is no risk of burn
Allow to cool prior to handling
Note: Even once extinguished, tin will remain hot for 10-15 mins

Disposal of Oz gel container
Place container on kitchen pass with cloth napkin
Use cloth napkin to dispose of fondue kit in provided container at the pass
Note: when disposing of Oz gel container, wear dishwashing gloves to triple rinse tin prior to disposal.
Dispose of rinsed tin in mixed recycling.
