


Preparation
Before creating a product code search in several ways to make sure this product isn’t already loaded as a product.
This is very important to be entered correctly as the product code CANNOT be changed once it is saved.

Bridgestone Product Codes
If you are about to load a Bridgestone Product, use the Bridgestone Product code, then proceed onto the product description step (step 13).

Product Group
How you enter the product code, is dependent on the product group (third box down) that it belongs to.
The product groups of interest are:
Rim
PCR - Retail
PCR - Commercial
RV - AT
RV - MT
Truck
Tractor
Small Tyre
Tubes
OTR
Forestry

Rim
Use the suppliers product code.

Passenger Car and Passenger Commercial
For the product code, enter the tyre size without any “/” or “X” . Add a “R” between aspect ratio and rim size if it is a radial tyre, and a “-‘ if it is x-ply or bias ply tyre. Then add the model and tread pattern of the tyre (not BRAND) without spaces.
The final product code should look something like this: 21560R16HF201
Note: All letters in the product code should be in capitals

RV - AT and RV - MT
Metric Sizing:
Enter the tyre size without any “/” or “X” . Add a “R” between aspect ratio and rim size if it is a radial tyre and a “-‘ if it is x-ply or bias ply tyre. Then add the model and tread pattern of the tyre (not BRAND) without spaces.
The final product code should look something like this: 26560R18AT811
Imperial Sizing:
Enter the height in inches EG.33 and width EG. 12.50, using a point and a zero, then the “R’ for radial or “-‘ for x-ply or bias ply, then rim size eg.20. Then add the model and tread pattern of the tyre (not BRAND) without spaces.
The final product code should look something like this: 3312.50R20MT601 or 3110.50R15MT764
Note: All letters in the product code should be in capitals

Truck
Enter the tyre size without any “/” or “X”. Add a “R” between aspect ratio and the rim size if it is radial tyre, and a “-‘ if it is x-ply of bias ply tyre. The rim size must show a point if it is a half size eg. 22.5. Then add the model and tread pattern of the tyre (not BRAND) without spaces.
The final product code should look something like this: 11R22.5SP917 or 31580R22.5BT168
Note: All letters in the product code should be in capitals

Tractor
Metric Sizing:
Enter the tyre size without any “/” or “X”. Add a “R” between aspect ratio and rim size if radial tyre and a “-‘ if it is x-ply of bias ply tyre. Then add the model and tread pattern of the tyre (not BRAND) without spaces.
The final product code should look something like this: 38070R24RT765
Imperial Sizing:
Enter the size in inches using a point EG. 14.9 then the “R’ for radial or “-‘ for x-ply or bias ply then rim size EG.38. Then add the model and tread pattern of the tyre (not BRAND) without spaces.
The final product code should look something like this: 14.9-38A304 or 18.4R38RT855
Note: All letters in the product code should be in capitals

Small Tyre
Enter tyre size without any “/” or “X” . Add a “R” between the aspect ratio and rim size if it is a radial tyre and a “-‘ if it is x-ply or bias ply tyre. Then add the model and tread pattern of the tyre (not BRAND) without spaces.
The final product code should look something like this: 410350-4P605 or 100100-18M7305 or 65050R22.5FL693M or 570-8W116
Note: All letters in the product code should be in capitals

Tubes
Before creating a new tube code check carefully as tubes sizes can cover multiple tyre sizes
Create the product code from supplier description, not supplier code. Use points in imperial sizing e.g. 16.918.4-34.
If you use a “-‘ instead of a “R” do the opposite in the product so sizes are easily searched.??
Note: All letters in the product code should be in capitals

OTR
Metric Sizing:
Enter the tyre size without any “/” or “X”. Add a “R” between the aspect ratio and the rim size if it is a radial tyre and a “-‘ if it is a x-ply or bias ply tyre. Then add the model and tread pattern of the tyre (not BRAND) without spaces.
The final product code should look something like this: 75065R25TB598
Imperial Sizing:
Add size in inches using a point EG. 23.5 then the “R’ for radial or “-‘ for x-ply or bias ply then rim size EG.25 Then add the model and tread pattern of the tyre (not BRAND) without spaces.
The final product code should look something like this: 23.5R25SR30v
Note: All letters in the product code should be in capitals

Forestry
Metric sizing:
Enter the tyre size without any “/” or “X”. Add a “R” between the aspect ratio and the rim size it is a radial tyre and a “-‘ if it is x-ply of bias ply. Then add the rim size. Then add the model and tread pattern of the tyre (not BRAND) without spaces. The final product code should look something like this: 78050-28.5T480
Imperial Sizing:
Add the size in inches using a point EG. 30.5, then the “R’ for radial or “-‘ for x-ply or bias ply, then rim size EG.32. The rim size must show a point if it is a half size eg. 26.5. Some forestry sizes show a “L’ in the sizing, this 'L' designates low-profile tyre and no aspect ratio is shown. Then add the model and tread pattern of the tyre (not BRAND) without spaces. The final product code should look something like this: 30.5L-32MS931
Note: All letters in the product code should be in capitals

Product Description
If this box isn’t correctly described it can be changed and altered but getting it correct the first time saves this process.
What to include in the description:
Tyre size including the “/ “ between width and aspect ratio ( profile )
Add brand of product
Model of product
Load rating and speed rating EG. 98H or 119/121Q ( Can also add 8ply or 10ply if applies )
Tread style EG. MT for Mud-Terrain, AT for All-terrain, HT for Highway-terrain, ASY for Asymmetric, DIR for Directional, ND for non-directional
For Bridgestone tyres where Bridgestone supplier code is used for charge back reasons, add tyre size again AFTER THE ABOVE 5 POINTS without ”/” so the product is easily searched.
TRACTOR where a imperial product code is used EG. 18.4r38RT855, add onto the product description its metric size E.G. 46085r38RT855

Product Group
Choose the correct Product group to enter the new product to, making sure it is relevant to the product. If the incorrect product group is selected this is able to be changed.

Product Brand
Select the brand of the product from the drop down.
Double check everything entered is correct and click 'Save' in top right corner.

Inventory Tab
Select the 'Inventory' tab that is in blue, second along top left side

Bin Location
Enter the rim size or rim size of the tyre code, into this area EG. 17 or 26.5.
The rim Size is the last digits behind the R or – in the product code.
Please fill out this part for all for branches Dargaville, Kaikohe, Waipapa and Whangarei. This helps with stocktake procedures.

Min Max Levels
The Min Max stock levels are entered at this point if it is a product we want to always stock.
Do not fill out MIN / MAX for other branches and be sure you want this product auto ordered before entering a stock level number.
The MIN is for minimum amount to be held in stock, the MAX is for maximum to be held in stock.
When this is correctly entered then click 'Save' in top right corner.

Purchase Tab
Select the 'Purchase' tab in blue, 3rd from left hand side.

Default Purchase Price
Under "Default purchase price" enter currant pre-GST cost price including freight if there is freight cost added that aren’t included in tyre cost.

Purchase Tax Rate
Under "Purchase tax rate" click on the drop-down arrow and select '15% GST on purchase'.

Add Supplier
Proceed down to "Suppliers" and enter the supplier's code and the supplier's name. If you don’t know the code, add the supplier name first and the code will come up.

Supplier Product Code
The supplier product code needs to be added, for Tyremax purchases for MIN / MAX to work correctly, but is good to always add the supplier product code if you have it.

Add Supplier and Save
Move to the right and click 'Add' in green then click 'Save' in top right corner.

Sale Tab
Select 'Sale' in grey 4th from left hand side.

Default Sell Price
Under "default sell price" enter your pre-GST sell price.

Minimum Sell Price
Under "minimum sell price" enter a price that is above cost but below Default sell price, this safe guards a product being sold below cost in error.

Sales Tax Rate
Proceed right to sales tax rate and select “15% GST on sales”.
Go to top right corner and click “save".
You should now have successfully and accurately entered a new product.
Any details entered wrong can be corrected, except for the product code once it is saved.
