Remove fortress lock and open gate to access reel

Check reel of film or foil to make sure no bumps, high or torn edges

If edges are torn smooth out

Tape edges down if required

Close fortress gate

Replace fortress lock

Select active reel (1 or 2)

Press "change roll hand". Warning bell sounds and turret starts to rotate to bump position.

Once turret stops in bump position press "reel change cancel".

Use key 445 for "lay on arm" and "bump roll" bypass. This will bring the lay on roll and bump roll down so you can check the position relative to the reel. Key is located on the shift keys

Check the position of the bump roll against the reel. Make sure it is just touching evenly across the reel

If adjustment is required, adjust the bolt on the operator side & reflector on the drive side

Adjust from the bolt until the bump roll sits against the reel

Remove gate 2 fortress key

Open fortress gate

Check and if required adjust reflector that see's the film/foil

Reflector for seeing film/foil

Close fortress gate

Replace fortress key

Cancel bypass on lay on roll and bump roll using key 455 and rotate turret enough to perform another test
